I have always tried to make it VERY clear (no matter what the idiots automatically presume) that I am NOT a conspiracy theorist and that my theory of the Penn State/Sandusky "scandal" is NOT based in any sort of extensive "conspiracy."
However, there is no doubt the whole story is rather complex and that for many people who don't have the time or the inclination to get into the details, the idea that all of this could be based in a fraud is a very difficult thing to comprehend.
As if things could get any stranger in this crazy story...
So, on Sunday, Aaron Fisher (Sandusky "Victim 1," the person on whom the ENTIRE case rests) posted a photo on Facebook of his young new girlfriend "bathing" in cash on a bed while they were on a trip to Nashville. I re-posted the photo and simply let people comment on it.
Jerry Sandusky has written a letter to me from prison reacting to the NCAA restoring Joe Paterno's win record and eliminating sanctions which were (absurdly) levied on Penn State based on crimes for which he was convicted.
The letter is rather interesting on multiple levels. Obviously I will leave it up to you to decide what to think and how to feel about it (I am quite sure that opinions will vary VERY widely).
When Joe Paterno’s press conference is cancelled (it was incorrectly reported at the time that Spanier cancelled it, but there seems to be little significance to the fact that this was actually done by ardent Paterno-critic John Surma), the media correctly perceives this as a sign that Penn State is implicating Paterno in wrong-doing. Obviously if Penn State is saying that Paterno did wrong then there can be no other remotely logical interpretation of that action than to conclude that he must have done something really terrible (the fact that he is praised thre
Aaron Fisher (later known as "Victim #1") at first tells his high school and a caseworker that nothing much happened between him and Sandusky and that there was no sex. The school, clearly because they don’t care about their students being sexually abused and have nothing to fear if they wrongly disbelieve an accuser, at first don’t seem to trust Aaron.
Of the many very frustrating aspects of spending three years trying to tell the real story about what did and did NOT happen at Penn State with regard to Joe Paterno and Jerry Sandusky, the most aggravating is that the “other” side has never even articulated their full version of what they think/pretend happened.
As I have said many times, the entire case against Jerry Sandusky (and therefore Penn State and Joe Paterno) is supported by two pillars. The first pillar is Aaron Fisher (Victim #1) and the second is Mike McQueary. I spent most of the first year or two in this crusade focused on McQueary, both because that story was far more closely connected to Penn State/Paterno and because, at first glance, it appeared to be much more suspect than Fisher's version.
I have long ago reached the point where correcting specific inaccuracies in the media coverage of the "Penn State Story" is like trying to bail water out of the engine room of the sinking Titanic. However, from time to time something reaches such a level of absurdity that it warrants a response. The garbage that the New York Times published today certainly qualifies.
As I have tirelessly documented over the last three years, there has never never a story (at least in modern America) where the news media has simply tossed out all fairness and objectivity more than in the Sandusky/Paterno/Penn State story.
Numerous times I have been targeted myself in ways which stunned even me, the ultimate media cynic. Thankfully, I have developed Rhinoceros skin with an an asbestos coating and I now just tend to laugh at what the media morons do whenever I have have contact with them.
I have done numerous radio interviews recently, some of which I would like to bring special attention to. Please listen to and share these as much as possible. The tide is finally turning!
Here was one showing how effective exposing the many problems in the case against Sandusky can be in helping a former harsh critic understand that Joe Paterno was clearly innocent. I also discus Governor Corbett saying Paterno probably should not have been fired:
